Taking inspiration from the comic book "The Five Fists of Science", I have built the first practical, portable, battery powered Tesla gun. To do it I needed the assistance of several Seattle hackerspaces and their respective specialties. This 20 minute "lightning talk" will detail the build process, from the 3d printed ceramic HV switch to the aluminum housing cast from a nerf gun. A live demonstration will follow.
